There are 2 essentials when it comes to transformation: the Lean approach, which facilitates the implementation of new technologies, and a process that keeps people at its core, as they will make the transformation reality.
SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC
Context
Schneider Electric is a global company specialised in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, dedicated to bringing energy to everyone.
It offers a range of integrated efficiency solutions, serving a more decarbonised, digitised and electric energy.
It generates €27.2 billion in revenue, 5% of which is invested in R&D.
The Vaudreuil plant mass-produces contactors, and has more recently integrated the post-time customisation activity on the Group’s variable speed drive and starter ranges.
Labelled Project
Schneider Electric has decided to make its Vaudreuil plant a showcase for the Group’s technologies.
The site dates back to 1975, and is home to automated lines on which we have gradually installed non-intrusive digital transformation solutions.
This project has been labelled in 2018.
Achievements
The factory implements and promotes the Group’s solutions: predictive maintenance, augmented reality, performance management and energy consumption data analysis solutions in order to improve its energy and operational efficiency.
The factory thus becomes a tool for selling the group’s solutions.
