As the technology of our products is particularly innovative, it was a matter of course that we respect this DNA and thus create a pilot line with such innovative processes to provide the market with the volumes it needs.
Sunna Design, founded in 2011, employs 40 people and can manufacture up to 100,000 solar lighting products per year.
The company exports a majority of these, mainly to Africa, the Middle East and the United States.
“The initial idea was to build a flexible, competitive plant that could be duplicated on our end markets if necessary, both in terms of equipment and skills”, explains Ignace de Prest, Managing Director of Sunna Design.
Faced with the high variability of its offer, Sunna Design decided to implement digital tools to support and train operators on different positions.
Its production has also been modularised, going from software, to script production, to hardware that enables each module to be adapted to the type of product manufactured.
Thanks to this project, Sunna Design has increased its production capacity tenfold.
This project has been labelled in 2016.
Modularity of products and production processes that are dynamically configured, augmented reality.
