Context

Founded in 1938, the Ventana Arudy site was one of the very first sites established in the Béarn region and was the starting point of a recognised regional aeronautical industrial fabric.
A world expert in precision sand casting for aluminium and magnesium alloys, it co-develops complex casting parts using low pressure casting.

Labelled Project

In order to strengthen its position as European leader in the field of light alloy casting, Ventana Arudy developed augmented manufacturing solutions, integrating into its process technological building blocks such as:

• simulation
• 3D printing
• contact-free measurement
• man-machine interfaces
• big data
• artificial intelligence

Today, Ventana Arudy offers its customers, along a single digital chain, new prospects in terms of time savings, development, cost-savings, weight reduction or even access to topological design in precision sand casting.

This project has been labelled in 2019.

Achievements

Countering the criticisms made of traditional foundry by bringing innovative interconnected digital solutions at each stage of our process from development to mass production.

Through the digital chain that we are implementing, we are capitalising on the best of traditional foundry and additive manufacturing. In so doing, we have broken free of this process’ constraints, to better meet our customers’ needs and requirements.
