The goal of this new label is to structure and publicise the French ecosystem of intelligent machines and solutions to support the modernisation of French industry.
On Friday 9 April 2021, the Executive Committee of the National Industry Council (CNI) made official the labelling of a nineteenth Strategic Sector Committee (CSF), dedicated to Solutions for the Industry of the Future (S-I-F). Its mandate will be to structure and publicise the French ecosystem of intelligent machines and solutions to support the modernisation of French industry.
With machines, robots, automation, engineering, control or data analysis software, simulation, IoT and beyond, this new sector will bring together all the French manufacturers positioned on the chain of solutions for the industry of the future, from material equipment to digital technology. Establishing itself in the industrial ecosystem of the Alliance industrie du futur (AIF), it will bring together some 32,000 companies in France, representing 500,000 employees and €36 billion in added value. This will include major players in the sector such as Schneider Electric, Dassault Systèmes, and Fives, as well as a strong base of SMEs specialising in industrial transformation. The strategic sector contract, which organises the sector’s objectives and concrete actions, will be signed in the coming months.
The digital platform, and the operational ambitions it nurtures, is the real originality of this new sector. Already on-line at solutionsindustriedufutur.org, it is like a network for industrial modernisation, dedicated to bringing together and enabling communication between all the players in French industrial modernisation, from suppliers to customers.
